Animal Supply Drive All March at Legion State Park

Attention animal lovers! The Legion State Park is teaming up with the Louisville Animal Shelter to provide donations of food, treats, and other supplies to shelter animals. 

Throughout the month of March, people may drop off donations at the gatehouse of the Legion State Park. No donation is too small! In particular, the park staff hopes to provide food to cats and dogs at the shelter, along with treats, leashes, even blankets for the animals. 

At the same time, anyone who would prefer to make a monetary donation may do so by taking the donation to the shelter. The Louisville Animal Shelter is open Monday - Thursday from 8 - 5; the shelter is closed on Friday. The shelter is also closed to the public from 12 - 1 for lunch. 

The staff would like to remind anyone dropping off donations that, should no one be present at the gatehouse when making a donation, please call the posted number to make park staff aware of your drop-off.
