WLSM Giveaway in the works for Rick Springfield show in Brandon

If you love the 80s like we at WLSM do, then you're going to want to be at the Brandon Amphitheater next Saturday, May 31 to see the "I Want My 80s Tour" featuring Rick Springfield.

Other acts in the lineup include John Waite, Wang Chung, and John Cafferty.

If you don't recognize John Waite, but you grew up in the 80s and 90s, you will remember "When I See You Smile," when Waite fronted the band Bad English. Waite is also known for his hits, "Missing You," "How Did I Get by Without You," and "Price of Love."

Wang Chung is best known for "Everybody Have Fun Tonight," but other hits by the duo include "Dance Hall Days," "To Live and Die in LA," and "Let's Go." Wang Chung was an MTV favorite in the early and mid-80s.

If the name "John Cafferty" isn't familiar, you HAVE heard his incredible voice as Eddie and the Cruisers; namely, you've heard what many have often mistaken for an early Bruce Springsteen - the song "On the Dark Side," which was a hit from the movie Eddie and the Cruisers. Cafferty's music was also featured on the Rocky IV soundtrack and in Patrick Swayze's Roadhouse.

So, now that you know this is a must-see event, how does one enter?

Simply head over the WLSM The Refuge 107.1's Facebook page. Find the giveaway post - there is a reel AND several reposts BUT you must find MONDAY's original post. React to the post (like, love, etc - any reaction will do!). Next, SHARE the original post. Then, go to our website www.therefugeonline.com/listen and look for THIS WEEK's featured Mississippi Music Monday artist - there IS a date, so look for the MAY 19 feature. Once you find the artist, go back to the original post and comment HER name.

YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL THREE STEPS in order to qualify for the giveaway!

On Wednesday, we announced that we would also utilize our text line (request line). You must TEXT "Jessie's Girl" to 662-361-1071 to qualify this way.

Finally, we will set up the WLSM giveaway box in one of the stores in Louisville. We WILL announce the store, but it's up to you to get over there.
