Winston County Men of Change Provides over 200 Backpacks at Back to School Celebration

If you’ve been tuning in during July, you heard about the ministry of the Winston County Men of Change. This is the group of men you’ll see around the county on Tuesday mornings gathered in prayer.

Earlier this year, the group felt lead to raise funds and get assistance from local businesses in order to provide school supplies and later backpacks for needy children in the county.

On Saturday, the Men of Change hosted a Back to School Celebration at the Parks and Recreation building. Rev. Anthony McIntosh noted that over 150 were in attendance at the event. “Some walked in late, so we don’t have an exact headcount.”

McIntosh added that more than 200 backpacks were given away.
