The Summer Library Program at the Winston County Library is always so much fun for kids, teens and adults alike - and this year, not only are the programs everyone loves returning, but there will be a few brand new programs as well!
Every Wednesday at 2, Kyra Roberson will guide participants through a doll-making class. Attendees will utilize simplistic materials to make yard dolls. This is totally free to participants, but you should register ahead of time so that plenty of materials will be available. Dolls will be donated to the Diamond Grove Center in Louisville.
For adults only, a "paint-your-own-ceramics" class will take place on Thursday, June 5 at 2 PM. Items to choose from and paint include garden gnomes, birds, and decorative stones. Again, all supplies are provided and this is a totally free event for adults.
On June 19th at 2 PM, there will be an adult social. Light refreshments and games will be provided. Be sure to attend as you just might win a prize! Attendees are encouraged to dress up in your most creative attire!
A final event for adults will be held on June 26th at 2 PM. This event involves crafting mini-cutting boards into recipe card holders. Again, this is totally free and supplies will be provided.
For kids, the Freedom Ranch returns on June 3, which is always a favorite. Be sure to go by the library for more information or call 662-773-3212. Wednesday and Thursday events do require registration since space is limited.
