Noxubee General Hospital and Nursing Home Foundation Launches to Support Long‑Term Community Health

Noxubee Medical Complex proudly announces the official launch of the Noxubee General Hospital and Nursing Home Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity committed to securing the future of essential healthcare services across Noxubee County.

Established in 2024, the Foundation exists to strengthen the healthcare resilience of our

community. It aims to support the operations of both Noxubee General Hospital and the

Noxubee County Nursing Home, ensuring the residents of Noxubee County continue enjoying

compassionate, high-quality care “close to home”

Services & Community Impact

Noxubee General Hospital, a critical access facility, offers 24-hour emergency care,

inpatient acute care, a swing-bed skilled nursing/transitional care program, outpatient

clinics, rehab services, lab and radiology, and more. Its mission is defined by quality,

compassionate care in a community setting.

Noxubee County Nursing Home, Medicaid‑certified and opened in October 1991, has provided long‑term and rehabilitative care to over 700 residents in a homelike

environment. Our facility maintains a CMS 5‑Star rating and offers on‑site therapy,

nursing, diabetic counseling, beauty shop, and more.

Why This Foundation Matters

Rural hospitals face steep financial challenges: across the country, similar hospitals

have shuttered under economic strain and cuts in funding. Noxubee Medical Complex is

committed to long‑term sustainability and continued growth.

Our independent Foundation allows the community to directly support local healthcare–

helping fund facility upgrades, patient programs, and emergency needs without relying on government or insurance restrictions.

Looking Ahead

The Foundation has launched a public appeal for charitable and planned giving, offering

opportunities for individuals and organizations to help secure quality local healthcare for

generations to come through the hospital website, www.ngcah.com. Community members areinvited to participate and share in this vital mission.

This year, the Noxubee County General

Hospital and Nursing Home Foundation awarded $1,500 to local graduating seniors in support of their academic passions.

On November 11, 2025, our Foundation will host its first Glo-Walk for Veterans to honor our

local heroes. The event will begin at 5:30pm at the Noxubee Medical Complex.
