Neshoba County Fair Kicks Off this Friday

The Neshoba County Fair kick off this Friday, July 25, and it's an event that many locals look forward to each year! Whether you enjoy the nightly entertainment, the Heart o' Dixie triathlon, the rides, or the horse racing, the Fair offers something for everyone.

The Heart o' Dixie Triathlon will begin as usual at Lake Tiak O'khata with a .5-mile swim. Participants will then embark on a 27-mile bike ride utilizing Highway 15 South. Once participants traverse the Highway 15 and Highway 16 intersection, the 7-mile run portion of the triathlon will begin.

The triathlon will begin at 6:30 AM at the Lake. Generally, those along Highway 15 South may catch the bicyclists after 7 AM. They cyclists will be escorted by the MHP motorcycle division as well as some individual motorcyclists.

Drivers along Highway 15 are cautioned to look out for the cyclists and their escorts.
