Nanih Waiya Community Announces Prayer Walk Ahead of School's Start

ree

Earlier this week, members of the Nanih Waiya community announced via Facebook that they would be hosting a "Prayer Walk" to lift up the teachers, staff, and students of Nanih Waiya Attendance Center.

Corey Jackson, who shared one of the initial posts, publicly thanked new head of NWAC, Julie Fulcher Fancher for being open to the event.

Fancher spoke about the event: "We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to come together with our community and local churches in support of our students and staff. This upcoming prayer walk is a powerful reminder that when we unite in faith and purpose, we create a stronger, more compassionate foundation for learning and growth. We look forward to walking together with hearts full of hope and belief in the future of our school."

WLSM announced earlier this year that Fancher would be "coming home" to Winston County to take the helm at Nanih Waiya. Fancher brings great enthusiasm from her previous post at Henderson Elementary in Starkville.
