In April, Mayor Will Hill worked with the Louisville Police Department's Community Liaison, Patricia Whitcomb, to create a public service announcement regarding mental health awareness. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Hill and Whitcomb have worked together consistently in preparing proclamations, organizing physical activities, and more over the years to promote not only awareness, but to also promote movement as a way to combat mental health issues such as depression or anxiety.
The Move with the Mayor campaign is a part of the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. The goal of this campaign is to "promote physical activity and community engagement to improve the health and well-being of residents."
The one-minute PSA included a challenge to the community to get active. Both Hill and Whitcomb participate in the challenges as well by being an active part of events such as the Community Walk, the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, and the Awareness Walk.
On Wednesday, the National Forum informed Hill and Whitcomb that his Spring PSA had garnered many views and high engagement numbers. These PSAs ran on both Facebook and Instagram, and they boasted 6.2 million impressions with an average engagement rate of 83.80 percent.
Of twelve mayors across the United States that sent in a Spring PSA, Hill's video ranked fourth. The National Forum says this reached 2.3 million accounts on social media.

Hill consistently encourages the community to participate in activities that provide a social connection among his citizens. Most recently, that activity was a Community Walk that took place July 12 at Winston Medical Center. Mayor Hill and his wife, Sarah, were in attendance and participated in the walk.
Louisville Fire Chief Robert Hutto also assists in the filming of these PSAs alongside the mayor and Whitcomb.
