While school is winding down for students, the administrators at Louisville Municipal School District are gearing up for the coming school year. Teachers and students will wrap up this school year in the coming weeks, but, in the first week of June, parents and guardians will need to register their students for the upcoming year.
This registration event is for new and returning students.
On June 3 and 4, registration at all schools in the LMSD opens at 9:00 AM and parents are able to come any time until 3:00 PM. On June 5th, registration hours are between 1 PM until 6 PM. City schools will host registration at the Louisville Dome.
On June 3rd and 4th, the registration locations will shut down for lunch between 12 - 1.
The district wants to remind everyone that ONLY parents or guardians may register a student.
Returning students will need to present two proofs of residency (these must be approved by the district, such as utility bills). If a utility bill is utilized as a proof of residency, it must be within 30 days of registration.
New students will need to present the student's birth certificate, Form 121 (shot record), a report card or transcript from the student's previous school, and two district-approved forms of residency. Utility bills for new students must also be dated within the 30 days prior to registration.
The district looks forward to registering your student for the upcoming school year!
