Legion Park Hosts 2nd Annual Big Iron Classic

On Saturday February 21^st Friends of Legion State Park hosted the 2^nd Annual Big Iron Classic Disc Golf Tournament. Almost 90 players from around the SoutheastUS came to play in the PDGA C-Tier in Louisville, MS.

MPO – Chad Sherbert – Florence, MS (Score -9)

MP40 – Clayton Nash – Columbus, MS (-2)

MA1 – Cameron Crace – Starkville, MS (-2)

MA40 – Matt Nappe – Starkville, MS (-11)

MA50 – Jimmy Kalil – Oxford, MS (+3)

MA60 – Bo Kirk – Hattiesburg, MS (-1)

MA2 – Jacob Feaker – Amory, MS (-14)

MA3 – Harris Wiggins – Brandon, MS (-5)

MA4 – Bobby De Maxey – Thaxton, MS (-8)

FA3  - Kailee Rogers – Tremont, MS (+28)

We’re also excited to announce that we have brand new baskets for our RED HILLS DGC. This will be a brand new addition to the park. It will be a more beginner friendly course located at the front-end of the park. We will be scheduling work days in March to get started clearing fairways. We ask that if you have access to forest mulching equipment and would like to volunteer to reach out. We are always looking for financial support of these endeavors as well.
