Mere words can't truly describe the impact Winston Countian Aline Haynes has had on the community.
Haynes has spent most of her life looking for ways to give back to the community. She's hosted a Thanksgiving luncheon for the needy in the community for over two decades. In 2023, she helped fundraise through her ministry, Abundant Life Outreach, to assist an elderly woman whose home had become unlivable. She also prepares a luncheon for seniors at Grace Christian School each spring.
However, these are just a few of the things Haynes does for her community. She frequently raises funds to assist those in need around the county.
In April, Haynes was honored by the Louisville/Winston Chamber of Commerce as the "Unsung Community Hero." Haynes is that and so much more. She often hosts events to raise money for families in need - whether that need arises from a serious illness or the loss of a home. During the pandemic, Haynes and her team of volunteers cooked more than 1,000 meals for essential workers. She has served more than 30,000 meals at the Thanksgiving luncheon.
This Sunday, June 29, Mrs. Aline will be honored with an Appreciation Program at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. The program will begin at 3:00 PM.
The public is invited to attend this special event and show the community's appreciation for this special lady who loves her county and the people who live here so much.
