Winston County has a history of hosting fun-filled Fourth of July events, complete with a brilliant and breathtaking fireworks display.

This upcoming Fourth holiday is no different.

On July 3, The Red, White and Blue Parade at Lake Tiak O'khata is set to begin at 7:30. As tradition holds, children and families are encouraged to dress in their most adorable red, white and blue patriotic outfits and participate in the parade. Line up is at 7:15 PM at the LTOK Gazebo.

The fun doesn't stop when the parade ends, however! Entertainment will be provided by Mark and Fernando, who will begin playing at 6:45. At dusk, the fireworks show will begin.

On Friday, the Fourth, the Nanih Waiya Community Park will host its Annual Fireworks Show. At 6, friends and family are asked to come out and bring your lawn chairs. There will be music by Shake the Bucket, and Pig - N - Out BBQ will provide delicious food. The fireworks show begins at 9. This event is free to the public, but those who wish to make a donation may do so at a membership table. (Any donations to the NW Community Park are tax-deductible.)
