Find your Inner Explorer at Legion State Park June 17

It's summer in Mississippi - and that means outdoor fun and activities! However, participating in outdoor activities - whether that is simply playing in the backyard, fishing, or walking a nature trail in a local park - means that one needs to understand certain safety tips specifically for our area.

The Winston County Extension Office and Agent Jim McAdory are teaming up with the Mississippi LIFT program to teach about outdoor safety tips. This daytime activity will take place on June 17, next Tuesday, at the Legion State Park in Louisville. This is a lunch hour activity, beginning at 11:30 AM and ending at 12:30 PM.

Attendees will learning about avoiding snakes and poisonous plants, animal footprints, and water safety.
